We invite you to explore the charming village of Burgsponheim and the surrounding region of the Soonwald-Nahe valley. Wild deer and many varieties of birds are commonly found when walking in the local footpaths.
Our village borders on the Soonwald nature park. You can enjoy a wide range of flora and fauna which can be found locally during all the seasons, as well as the spiritual experience of walking along the pilgrim’s path.
Enjoy the opportunities for walking, swimming and cycling.
If you prefer to pursue sport activities such as cycling, walking or swimming, then you need only try one of the many bicycle or pedestrian routes. Finish off with a refreshing swim in summer in one of the public pools or thermal baths with wellness, of which there are many in the region.
Whether you simply want to enjoy a glass of the local Nahe wine on the terrace with a view of the castle tower in the setting sun, or visit one of the many local restaurants or wine producers, you can always be sure of a pleasant finish to the day.

Living at the castle Nature, culture and wellness
Situated between Soonwald and the river Nahe
The pretty village of Burgsponheim lies in the local district of Bad Kreuznach, on a hill overlooking the valley of the Ellerbach. The forests of the Soonwald are to the northwest, and the river Nahe to the southeast. Burgsponheim has been a winner of the national “Beautiful village competition”. A visit to the ruins of the castle tower (originally the family seat of the Graf von Sponheim) is a must.
An apartement for two
A charming, light and airy loft apartment for one or two persons with a surface area of 60qm, providing a superb view over the ruins of the Burg and the valley of the Ellerbach river. There is a separate entrance with a spacious balcony, accessing an open, fully equipped kitchen-living room. A work space with desk and WLAN connection is also provided, together with a bedroom, bathroom and generous storage space. A private parking space for guests is available directly adjacent to the apartment.
Options for a special holiday
If your stay in our apartment is due to a special occasion, we would be happy to provide something extra for your arrival. We can purchase, for example, what you need for your first breakfast (there will be additional charges, depending on your request). Just let us know in advance, and we can make the necessary arrangements.
The open-plan kitchen
There is a modern, fully equipped kitchen with oven, fridge and dish-washer.
Also available are toaster, coffer-machine for filter coffee and electric kettle.
We provide free of charge various types of tea, coffee, sugar, crème, home-made jam, a bottle of mineral water and a bottle of the local Riesling wine, salad-dressing, salt, pepper and a choice of herbs and spices.
The apartment is also equipped with a washing machine and laundry detergent.
Dining area
A dining table and chairs are provided.
Living area
A comfortable lounge area is available with armchairs, a smart-TV with satellite reception for British TV channels as well as a receiver for Deutsche Telekom.
We also provide a separate desk with lamp and with many electrical sockets together with WLAN (which is available throughout the apartment).
Balcony with a view
The balcony is equipped with an outdoor table and chairs, together with sun-shades.
The bedroom
A comfortable double bed (160/200), with bed linen is provided. There are bedside tables with lamps, a sizable wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
The bathroom
The bathroom is equipped with a shower, wash basin and WC. Towels, facecloths and toilet-paper are provided, together with hair-dryer and illuminated mirror.
Our service
We provide a change of bed linen and towels for guests staying more than one week.
The charges for our holiday apartment …
€ 85,-/per night (for maximum of two persons)
All-inklusive:
The Haus Burgsponheim complete package includes a welcoming bottle of local wine from the Nahe. Hand towels, bed linen, dish towels (fresh towels and bed linen provided after 7 days) detergent and toilet paper. In the kitchen : a choice of teas, coffee, sugar, coffee crème, home-made jams, a bottle of mineral water, salad dressing, salt/pepper and various herbs and spices. The charges for the final cleaning of the apartment are included in the price per night.
Special arrangements can be made for long-term residence.

Conditions for booking and cancellations
After a reservation has been confirmed, please pay the full amount by bank transfer 7 days before your arrival (at the latest). If you cancel the reservation during the week before your arrival, there will be a charge of 30% of the booking fee. The remaining sum will be returned by bank transfer.
